A lot of us have been taught to believe that comfort foods are not good and should be avoided. Sometimes, if your comfort food is made of candy or other junk foods, this can be true. Other times, however, comfort foods can be totally nutritious and it’s good for you to consume them. There are a number of foods that actually can raise your moods when you eat them. When you are feeling a little down and need an emotional boost, try a few of these.

Build a trail mix out of seeds and/or nuts. Peanuts, cashews, sunflower seeds, almonds, pumpkin seeds, etcetera are all terrific for helping to raise your mood.
