  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Remove giblets from chicken, rinse and pat dry
  3. Place chicken in deep covered casserole dish or roasting pan
  4. Rub butter and spices on and under skin
  5. Place whole peeled onion in neck cavity
  6. Cook in preheated oven for 1.5 to 2 hours or until slightly brown, drumsticks pull away from breast, and juices run clear.
  7. JUICIER OPTION: Cook in slow cooker on high for 6 hours
