The ingredients needed to make Cherry Curry:
- You need 200 gm Cherry / cherry tomatoes
- Prepare 2 green chillies
- You need 1/4 cup shredded coconut
- Get 1 tsp chilli powder
- You need 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Use 1/2 tsp cumin
- Prepare Salt as required
- Prepare 4 cloves garlic
- You need as required Water
- Get 1/4 cup moong dal (soaked 2 hrs before)
- Get 2 tsp coconut oil
- Get 2 shallots
- Provide 2 dry chillies
- Take 1 tsp mustard seeds
- Get 1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds
- Use 1 string curry leaves
Steps to make Cherry Curry:
- Boil the cherry with the pre soaked moong dal and a pinch of turmeric powder until done.
- Grind together the shredded coconut with 2 cloves of garlic, cumin seeds, turmeric powder and chilli powder.
- Add this ground paste to the dal cherry mixture and cook well till it boils.
- Once cooked..check the seasoning. Add enough salt.
- Once it is seasoned well give it a good thadka.
- For thadka. Heat the pan..add enough coconut oil.splutter the mustard and fenugreek seeds. Add the shallots and 2 cloves of chopped garlic. Now the red chillies and the curry leaves. Stir it nicely and pour it over the curry prepared and give it good stir.
